This was a requested song by a lovely lady when we played at her  seniors' residence - a mom to two of our BUG members.

"Green, Green Grass of Home" originally became popular when recorded by Porter Wagoner in 1965, when it reached No. 4 on the country chart. In 1966, Tom Jones's recording became a worldwide No. 1 hit. It was the first Decca single by a UK artist to sell more than a million copies in the UK.
