TO PLAY ALONG IN THE SAME KEY IN GCEA TUNING, YOU'D HAVE TO PUT YOUR CAPO ON THE 7TH FRET.

I've changed up and shortened the instrumentals for BUG. What's really cool is that beginners can play the entire song just using a shuffle strum on the G chord, like a drone. The spoken song intro can be found below.

The Rankin Family is a Canadian musical family group from Mabou, Nova Scotia. The group has won many Canadian music awards, including 15 East Coast Music Awards, six Juno Awards, four SOCAN Awards, three Canadian Country Music Awards and two Big Country Music Awards. The Rankins come from a family of 12 siblings, all of whom would entertain the neighbours musically every third weekend as part of a cèilidh. The first Rankin Family band formed in the 1970s when siblings Geraldine, Genevieve, David, John Morris, and Raylene Rankin began performing at local weddings and dances in Cape Breton. As the older siblings went away to college and university, the younger siblings Jimmy, Cookie and Heather took their places.

SONG INTRO:
Picture this Ladies and Gentlemen....It's fifty years ago, on a small country farm, Johnny McMaster's place, and it's Friday night. You've just finished ten hot days of back breaking labor, and the hay...the hay is finally in. You're sittin' around the kitchen table under the dim light of a kerosene lantern, and everyone’s laughin' and jokin' and tellin' stories...about their neighbors. You're halfway through a bottle of ahhhhh...moonshine and you're getting allllllllllllll fired up...I said you’re getting allllllllllllll fired up…for the danccccce…. Ladies and Gentlemen...I give you the Mull River Shuffle.
