Dominique Joly, a friend at the office, suggested this song to me many years ago and we played it at our office Christmas party for the wee ones!

"Petit Papa Noël" is a song originally written in 1944 during World War II. It first appeared in a theatrical revue, but the revue was deemed unsuitable by the German Occupation forces. Then in 1946, the lyrics were rewritten and memorably performed by French singer/actor Tino Rossi in director, Richard Pottier's film, Destins, in 1946. It is still the best-selling single of all time in France, and since its initial recording has sold over 80 million copies worldwide. The song has been covered by many artists over the years.
