Chu pas une femme à marier

Les Hay Babies are an indie-folk music trio made up of three vibrant young women. Katrine Noël, Vivianne Roy and Julie Aubé, who come from three of the four cardinal points in New Brunswick, blend their accents to create a sense of peace and present their own kind of indie-folk.

One of Les Hay Babies' main strengths is certainly their vocal harmonies, but the stories they tell are another aspect of their charm. Les Hay Babies launched their first EP, "FOLIO", on July 31, 2012. This bilingual album includes six original indie-folk-sounding titles, four in French and one in English. Some of the songs were written by one or two band members, others by all three. Their music is colourful, touched with sensitivity and humor, very much like the three young songwriters-composers-performers! Marc "Chops" Arsenault produced Folio and Léandre Bourgeois recorded it. Rémi Arsenault, Dano LeBlanc, Christien Belliveau and Jessie Mea added a little bit of musical magic to Julie Aubé's banjo, Katrine Noël's ukulele and Vivianne Roy's guitar. (Acadie-export.ca)
