Thanks to Jennie Wilson for suggesting this song for BUG! Myles Smith sings it in the key of E, but Jennie will lead us in the song in the key of G. To play along with the video in GCEA tuning, that means you'd have to put your capo on the 9th fret, or detune to E, A, C#, F#.

"Stargazing" is a song by British singer-songwriter Myles Smith. Smith teamed up with Peter Fenn, who not only produced the track but also laid down all the instruments himself: piano, drums, keyboards, guitar, etc. Jesse Fink, a New York songwriter with credits on John Legend's "Conversations in the Dark," Justus Bennetts' "Bad Day" and Artemas' "I Like the Way You Kiss Me," also helped write the song. "Stargazing" topped Billboard's Pop Airplay, Adult Pop Airplay and Alternative Airplay charts. It was the first debut hit by a British soloist to reach #1 on all three radio formats, and considered Smith's breakout hit.

It was released as the lead single from Smith's second extended play A Minute... on 10 May 2024 through Sony Music. In an interview with Billboard, Myles Smith stated he created the song during his visit to Malibu, California in January 2024, when he wanted to write "something that's really warm, fun and happy". The title was inspired by a moment of him watching a sunset in Malibu with his friends.
