From Ian Tyson's 1987 "Cowboyography" album - one of the few Ian Tyson albums to be released in the United States, Cowboyograph is also considered one of his best records, demonstrating his skill for melding traditional western musical and lyrical themes with contemporary arrangements, productions and sensibilities.

fyi - a cattle guard is a metal grid covering a ditch, allowing vehicles and pedestrians to pass over but not cattle and other animals. There are metal pipes that are laid over the ditch. If cattle try to cross the cattle guard, their legs will fall down in between the pipes and they get stuck.
