You can play along in the same key as the first video in GCEA tuning if you put your capo on the 1st fret. You can play along in the same key as the second video without a capo. I've given you alternatives for playing the Db and D, and I've created the songsheet to add the back-up vocals of the original song from the movie, however you can leave them out. At the end, instead of just a fade out like in the movie, I've tried to capture how Elvis ended the song in live performances - we'll give it a try and see how it works for us!

"Jailhouse Rock" was written by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller. RCA Victor released the song on a 45 rpm single on September 24, 1957, and as a 78 rpm single in the UK, as the first single from the film's soundtrack EP. It reached the top of the charts in the U.S. and the top 10 in several other countries. The song was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame on November 27, 2016, and was recognized by the American Film Institute.
