UKULELE HIGHLIGHT OF THE SUMMER! Food, drink and ukes! Come out to strum with chums and enjoy a fabulous time at the local farmers' market!

BUG has been asked to jam at the Ottawa Farmer's Market at Brewer's Park across from Carleton University on two Sundays!

Sunday July 29  AND Sunday August 5

Time: Two 45 minutes sets  11 - 11:45 and 12:00 until 12:45

We're going to be playing on the grass in beautiful Brewer Park - no stage - just our ukes and our music! So there's lots of room for everyone to join in the jam! Mark and I will bring all 21 music binders with 66 songs (posted below as a Word document) - woohoo! That should keep us going! So all you uke players - drop on by and feel free to bring friends! Even if you can't stay for the whole time - no problem! And there are lots of wonderful vendors with all sorts of neat food, beverages, etc. that we can enjoy before and after. The market was a happening place when I was there today (July 22) to meet with the organizers and check out the venue!

- We will be playing in the shady area just south-west of the Brewer Arena (between the Brewer pool and the Westboro Academy - there's a grove of trees and a few picnic tables. There is supposed to be a tent set up but Mark and I will also bring our tent as we did for Saunders.

- bring a music stand if you have it
- I've been told there are lots of plastic folding chairs available that we can use at the market (but CERTAINLY feel free to bring your own comfy chair if you wish).
- the list of songs is attached below. We'll bring all 21 binders but if you'd like to make up your own there are lots of great songs on the list that you'll enjoy playing over and over!
-There's lots of free parking in and around the Arena and Westboro Academy -  as well as at Carleton University in parking lots #5 and 7 which are directly across the street from the market (there are pedestrian crossing lights from the parking lot to cross safely). You do not need a parking pass.

Jammin' in the park - surrounded by good friends and good food! YEAH! Mark and I will likely plan to be there between 9:30 - 10 to bring out chairs and set up the tent.
